Privacy Policy for Keeping It Clean!

This Privacy Policy explains how the iPhone and iPad game Keeping It Clean! (the “App”) handles information. It applies to the App wherever it is available. Additional rights may apply under the laws of your country or region.

Who is responsible

The App is provided by Martin Rosenthal, Germany (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Information stored on your device

The App saves your current game, local high scores, game configuration, and preferences such as audio, animation, and haptic settings on your device. It also temporarily saves scores that have not yet been submitted to Game Center so it can submit them after a Game Center connection becomes available. This information is used to let you continue playing, remember your choices, show your local records, and complete leaderboard submissions.

We do not operate a server that receives or stores your saved games, settings, or local high scores. Local information remains on your device until the App or its data is removed, subject to any device backup or restore features you use through Apple. A score awaiting submission is removed from the App's pending-score storage after Game Center confirms successful submission.

Game Center and leaderboards

The App uses Apple Game Center for worldwide leaderboards. It checks your Game Center sign-in status when the App starts. If you are signed in, the App can access your Game Center display name, load leaderboard entries, and submit your score to the leaderboard for the game mode and configuration you played. Scores are submitted when a round ends. If a score cannot be submitted immediately, the App keeps the score and leaderboard identifier on your device and tries again after Game Center becomes available. The App displays up to 100 leaderboard entries, including player display names, ranks, and scores.

Apple provides and operates Game Center and processes Game Center data under its own terms and privacy practices. Your Game Center display name and scores may be visible to other Game Center users according to Apple's settings and rules. We do not operate a separate leaderboard server or store Game Center player profiles on our own servers. You can manage your Game Center account and privacy settings through Apple. You can play the App without signing in to Game Center, but worldwide leaderboard features will not be available. If you later sign in, a score previously queued on your device may be submitted.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive the email address and any information you include in your message. We use it only to answer your request and handle any related follow-up. Our email provider processes the correspondence on our behalf. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to address the request and meet any applicable legal obligations.

What the App does not do

The current version of the App does not contain advertising, in-app analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. It does not ask you to create an account with us or provide your name, address, payment details, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings. It does not use cookies inside the App. Apple may independently process information when you download the App or use Game Center; Apple's privacy notices explain those activities.

Purposes, legal bases, and sharing

We use locally stored game information to provide the gameplay and features you choose. We use Game Center information to display worldwide rankings and submit completed scores. We use email correspondence to respond to you. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases, as applicable: performing our agreement with you to provide the App's requested features (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); our legitimate interests in operating the game, providing leaderboards, and answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); and compliance with legal obligations where required (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). We do not rely on a statement that using the App constitutes consent to unrelated data uses.

Information is disclosed only as needed for the services described above: scores and related Game Center information to Apple for Game Center; leaderboard names, ranks, and scores to players viewing the leaderboards through Game Center; and correspondence to our email provider when you contact us. We do not provide App data to advertisers or data brokers.

International processing

We are based in Germany. Apple and our email provider may process information in other countries according to their applicable terms, privacy notices, and legal safeguards. We do not operate our own international database of player information. If a law in your location gives you additional rights concerning cross-border processing, you may contact us using the address above.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

You can change the App's audio, animation, and haptic preferences in the App's settings. You can manage Game Center sign-in and sharing in Apple's device settings. Removing the App removes its locally stored data from the device, although copies may remain in backups you control through Apple. Removing the App does not automatically remove a score already submitted to Game Center; Apple controls Game Center records and account tools.

To ask us about information under our control or to exercise an applicable privacy right, email amavision@outlook.de. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. For information held by Apple in Game Center, please also use Apple's privacy and account tools.

Children

The App does not ask players, including children, to provide contact details in the App. Game Center availability and the information shared through it depend on the player's Apple account and Apple's parental controls. Parents or guardians may contact us at the email address above about privacy questions concerning the App.

Security

We use the storage and security features provided by iOS and iPadOS for local App data. Game Center is provided by Apple. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to limit information handling to what is needed for the features described here.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App or its data practices change. The updated version will show a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
